Staff
of Complete Care Center helps patients find much
needed medications
GRAND
BLANC, Mich. (June 10, 2008) - Physicians, nurses
and staff at Complete Care Center are confident
that they can provide some of the best medical
care in the world, but if their patients can't
afford the medications needed for treatment, they
are falling short.
"We
pride ourselves on being a clinic 'with a heart',"
said Dr. Roland Tindle, D.O., owner of Complete
Care Center in Grand Blanc. "When some of
our patients, both insured and uninsured, tell
us they can't afford the medications prescribed,
we do our best to refer them to lower cost and,
on occasion, free resources."
Conducting
much of the research on low cost and free medication
options is Business Manager Theresa McIntosh,
who has collected a wealth of information on resources
available through a variety of providers.
"Much
of this information is available on the Internet,"
said McIntosh. "Unfortunately, it's not only
difficult to find, it's extremely difficult to
figure out what you're supposed to do once you
find it. That's where I help."
McIntosh
acknowledges that availability is often based
on income, but there are still some great low
cost and even free programs available, for patients
with income two to three times the Federal Poverty
Level, through larger retailers like Wal-Mart
and Meijer's.
She
recently helped one of Complete Care Center's
insured patients find much needed medication for
his diabetes, providing a savings of several hundred
dollars a month. In another case, an uninsured
patient needed monthly medication for a child
with a developmental disorder. McIntosh again
located a resource and printed out all the necessary
forms and helped the parent complete an application
for assistance.
"We
don't want our patients making a choice between
medication, food and other necessities, especially
when resources are available," added Tindle.
"Our goal is to heal and educate."
Because
of the increasing number of patients without insurance,
Complete Care Center has introduced an innovative
program called Care Card Membership™. It is not
insurance, rather a membership program that gives
uninsured patients access to $10 office visits
and other medical services, along with greater
peace of mind.

Membership Program for the Uninsured
(Watch

Unique
plan is designed to bring affordable, quality
healthcare to uninsured individuals and families.
GRAND
BLANC, Mich.
(August 1, 2007) – When a medical emergency arises
or a routine office visit is needed to the doctor,
individuals and families sometimes put off much
needed treatment fearing that they can’t afford
to pay. Complete Care Center, a provider of emergency
and family health care in Grand Blanc, is introducing
Care Card Membership™ to help people ease their
worries and obtain affordable, quality healthcare.
“We
felt obligated to find a solution for the uninsured
residents in our community,” said Dr. Roland Tindle,
a partner physician with Dr. Robert Bouvier, M.D.,
at Complete Care Center. “What we’re offering
is not an insurance plan, rather it’s a membership
program that offers uninsured patients lower cost
office visits, lab tests, x-rays and other services
that are delivered by highly trained doctors,
nurse practitioners and other medical professionals.”
Without
Care Card Membership™, a traditional office visit
typically costs between $75 and $150. Now, for
a low monthly membership fee that is based on
individual, couple or family participation, patients
who visit Complete Care Center can receive treatment
for only $10 per office visit and if needed, an
EKG, up to one x-ray and three lab tests per visit
including urinalysis, complete blood counts, strep
screens and others. If additional services are
needed, patients covered by the membership program
are eligible for up to a 40 percent discount.
Data
from the U.S. healthcare insurance industry indicates
that 85 percent of all medical needs are for non-catastrophic
and non-hospital care.
“For
people whose employers can’t afford to provide
insurance, for children whose parents don’t have
coverage, for individuals between jobs and others,
our membership program offers a workable solution,”
added Dr. Tindle.
For
more information and to enroll in the Card Card
Membership™ program, call Complete Care Center
at 810-695-8011 or visit the Center’s web site
at www.completecarecenter.net. The one-time enrollment
fee of $30 is being waived for people who sign
up for the program by October 1, 2007.
